That excursion was the 100th U.S. spacewalk from the ISS to date, and the first EVA for a Canadian astronaut since 2019.<\/p><p>Today's spacewalk will wrap up an ambitious ISS power upgrade that has taken more than five years to pull off.<\/p><p>\"The installation job will complete the years-long process that began in June 2021 to augment the space station\u2019s power generating capacity from 160 kilowatts to about 215 kilowatts,\" NASA officials wrote about the EVA in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/blogs\/spacestation\/2026\/11\/03\/crew-keeps-up-spacewalk-preps-research-and-cargo-operations\/\" ><u>blog post on Tuesday (Nov. 3)<\/u><\/a>. That's a boost of about 30%.<\/p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/content.jwplatform.com\/players\/HXPteCoX.html\" id=\"HXPteCoX\" title=\"See a roll-out solar array unfurl during spacewalk in amazing helmet cam view\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1078\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"auto\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><p>Menon and Kutryk are currently sharing the ISS with five other astronauts \u2014 NASA's Luke Delaney and Jessica Watkins and cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov, Anna Kikina and Sergey Teteryatnikov.<\/p><p>Delaney, Kutryk, Teteryatnikov and Watkins arrived at the ISS on Oct. 1, on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.space.com\/space-exploration\/human-spaceflight\/spacex-crew-13-astronaut-mission-iss-launch\"><u>SpaceX's Crew-13 mission<\/u><\/a>.
